This was set to be our last clinic training with The Titans (Kimathi Hockey Team), setting off to Embu for what we've been working all year long for.
In review, the game was much better than the previous one and every section of the team was perfect and much improved. The score line didn't tell it though as we went down 5-1, after missing on a couple of scoring chances that would have told a different story in the end. We struck first and held on for sometime before the Titans struck the first and the second before the half time whistle. At the break, the score was 2-1.
The second half kicked off. One, two goals gave us a difficult scoreline for a possible comeback and with fatigue setting in after giving it our all in the first half, a stoppage time short-corner closed the game with a final score of 5-1.
The coming week gives us about three days of training and brushing on the various aspects of the game that we need, before setting off to Embu. The Snipers are now full of confidence and the urge to win is at exploding levels. I believe, and so does everyone that this time we will do it.
(The Ladies team did not travel, so no news about them)
